CAULIFLOWER CRUST PIZZA
Remember that one time I said that you can turn cauliflower into a PIZZA?! IT'S TRUE & is is SO delicious!
This homemade cauliflower crust pizza (with garlic parmesan crust, of course) is to die for! And an added bonus, it is boyfriend approved, gluten free & low carb (although we all know carbs are NOT the enemy)!!
Do you LOVE pizza?! if the answer is yes, you NEED to try this recipe! It was super simple to make, and if you know me, you know SIMPLE is my thing!
INGREDIENTS:
a bag of frozen riced cauliflower
dried oregano
garlic powder & onion powder
salt & pepper
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1/3 cup mozzarella
1 egg
pizza sauce
toppings of your choice (pictured is turkey bacon)
INSTRUCTIONS:
preheat the oven to 450 degrees (or low broil...if your oven is broken like ours LOL)
place a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet (to avoid sticking)
place the cauliflower in a microwave safe bowl and microwave it for about 4-5minutes
after the cauliflower is cooked, pour it out a kitchen towel and wring the water out of it. The more water you get out the better.
place the cauliflower in a bowl and add the oregano, garlic & onion powder, salt & pepper (sorry I don't measure seasonings so use your best judgement), parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg & mix together
once the ingredients are mixed together, use your hands to form a ball with the mixture
place it on the parchment paper and flatten it out to a pizza shape. (careful not too make it too thick or thin!)
place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake until the edges start to get golden brown and the middle sets - about 15 minutes. Flip over and bake another few minutes. (I personally like my crust almost burnt, so this step depends on how you like your pizza)
remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, add your favorite toppings and throw back in the oven until the cheese is melted (this is where I add parm & garlic to my crust)!
ENJOY!
